  • I have depth of experience, working alongside family doctors and specialists in the Emergency Department and as a Medical Hospitalist for the last 20 years, primarily at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital and recently at Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland.
  • I currently work on the front-lines in a COVID-19 screening unit at Waypoint Centre For Mental Health Care.
  • I know the OMA, elected to the OMA Board of Directors for General & Family Practice Assembly and currently sit on the Governance & Nominating Committee
  • As a graduate of the Harvard Medicine and Media program in 2020, I am a strong communicator
  • Host of my podcast¬†Intersection, featuring powerful conversations with people from all walks of life.
I oversaw a year of historic governance transformation and critical negotiation work with the Ministry of Health.  I know the challenges we face and believe many imperatives must take centre-stage in order for us to thrive in our work and lives:
  • address the fiscal challenges we face
  • build community healthcare infrastructure
  • increase opportunities for capitated models of practice
  • solve the problem of expired health cards
  • ensure regional representation
  • improve engagement with OMA and MOH leadership
  • ensure equity, diversity and inclusion within the profession
